Easter Markets you’ve got to visit this season

Check out the local Farmers’ Markets this Easter. With such an array on so many different days you have ample opportunity to join the Easter fun.

Markets bring joy to the mundane chore of grocery shopping that we must endure weekly. With Easter long weekend coming up this is your chance to visit as many markets as you can and gather your supplies ready for a big celebration.

With many regular markets organising a specific day for Easter this year, you are definitely guaranteed to find delightful surprises made to enrich your Easter celebrations.

April 1 – Mount Compass Easter Market

Gather the troops and march down Mount Compass’s Main Street for an Easter Market experience. The market will be hustling and bustling from 4 pm to 8 pm with locals displaying their goods. You can enjoy the fresh produce, handcrafted items and a sausage in bread for dinner. Kids can be let off the leash to take part in the Easter activities provided. Less than an hour south of the city, this sounds like an enchanting adventure.

April 3 – Easter Market in Glenelg

Market4You is all about embracing the local brands in the sunshine of Glenelg. Hosted by Partridge House, as you walk from stall to stall you’ll be able to enjoy the breezy atmosphere of the gardens. Open from 10 you can come along and enjoy late brekkie or wander along in the afternoon and munch on some lunch at the scrumptious food stalls. With over forty local brands participating you are guaranteed to find something you love. Kids can muck about on the playground, and bring your furry friend along too, they’re more than welcome.

April 10 – Fundraising Market for Ukrainian Refugees

Held at the Migrant Resource Centre in the city, this community-run market will donate all proceeds towards supporting Ukrainian refugees who urgently need our support. A great variety of Ukrainian food and souvenirs will be on offer.

April 14 – 2022 Easter Twilight Farmers Market

The Mount Pleasant annual Easter Twilight Farmers’ Market’s preparation has begun, and the locals are readying their supplies to display for your eager eyes and hands. Held between 4 pm and 8 pm the popular market can be found at the Mount Pleasant Showgrounds. You have the chance to get all your Easter shopping done the Thursday before Easter Sunday, giving you time to prep your meals and relax over the long weekend.

April 15 – 18 – Meadows 4 Day Easter Fair

The annual 4 day Meadows Easter Fair is back! A vast range of stalls to investigate at the Meadows Oval all present exciting prospects. Gather a group of friends or the family and head on over this Easter season and be immersed in the excitement of Easter.

April 16 – Hahndorf Easter Pop market

Supporting small businesses, POP Market is all about displaying the hard work and passion of Hahndorf’s locals. Held inside the Hahndorf Memorial Institute from 11 am to 4 pm you have plenty of time to pop in and browse the stalls, maybe pick up a thing or two. There is definitely going to be something to temp you considering the variety of items being displayed, such as body products, homewares, gifts, fashion accessories and lots and lots of food.

Not a new market by any means, but one that is well established. The Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market is open on Easter Sunday with a special treat for kids under twelve. Between 9 and 11 am families doing some last-minute shopping for their Easter lunch can get the kids involved in a Scavenger Hunt. This is the largest Farmers’ Market in SA with an array of over 100 stalls to purchase your fresh produce, baked goods and sweet treats from. As you purchase your bits and bobs you’ll be taking them straight from the hands of the person that produced them. You truly can’t shop in a more ethical place.
