If you love wine as much as we do then this will be right up your alley… The guys over at Howard Vineyard are bringing us a unique Festival celebrating all things wine (and we mean all things).
This is more than just about the drinking of the wine (although you will be happy to know that is still involved). Their first annual Harvest Festival will see you get a truly hands on experience as you help harvest the 2016 AMOS Cabernet Sauvignon with Viticulturalist/Winemaker Tom Northcott. And then you can have a feet on experience…
Get down and dirty in the vineyard as you help them stomp the fruit for the juice that will also make up a component of the 2016 AMOS wine series. That gives a whole new meaning to wine time…
After all that hard work you will be hungry. Well you don’t need to worry because there will be plenty of stunning dishes available as part of the banquet. Yes, banquet! The Long Table Asian Banquet at their Clover Restaurant will include divine dishes such as Softshell Crab with Native Plum Sauce, Major Tom’s Marinated Chicken with Spicy, Sweet and Sour Glaze and Butter Chickpeas, Cashews and Mild Tomato Curry. Oh, and there will also be a selection of cheeses from the Adelaide Hills to finish. This Festival just gets better and better, and we haven’t even mentioned the wine (that you will actually be drinking)…
Enjoy the Clover Range wines and the 2013 AMOS Cabernet Sauvignon, which just happens to have a cheeky 96 point from James Halliday, while you feast. Plus it has to be mentioned that there will also be fantastic wine specials for you to indulge in on the day. Your wine cellar will thank you for it.
Now there are a few rules at this Festival. Enclosed shoes must be worn. So it will actually be acceptable to wear your Nikes in public. Bring sunscreen and a hat or, if the weather is wet, you might want to bring yourself a poncho – the picking will be happening no matter what the weather!
Want to get your hands on tickets to this bad boy? Then just head here.
