Eat, Drink, Party: Hill Of Grace Restaurant’s Hot Picks

Where does the Head Chef of one of Adelaide’s most amazing restaurants like to eat, drink and party? Well we are so in the know…

With all eyes on the Adelaide Oval this week as they gear up to hold the inaugural Day/Night Test Match, we felt it was only right to go to them for this week’s Eat, Drink, Party. So the spotlight is on their stunning eatery the Hill of Grace Restaurant…

As we have mentioned in previous editions of Eat, Drink, Party, we are lucky enough at Glam to get to lap up the new and vibrant venues as they pop up but this time, we thought we would ask the experts from some of our fave Adelaide destinations where we should be heading out for a meal, a casual drink… and then perhaps a few more drinks and a bit of tail feather shaking. Because if anyone would know, it’s them, right!

This week it is over to Dennis Leslie, the amazingly talented Head Chef at Hill of Grace Restaurant, Adelaide Oval:

meal: I am so glad to see so many great places to eat in Adelaide now. My fiancé and I try to eat at all of them! Our favourite is still La Trattoria, we love their pasta marinara, their lovely service staff and we always feel at ‘home’ there.

casual drink: I haven’t been out for a casual drink in ages but I am old school, I have always loved going to the Crown and Sceptre ever since I started cooking. It’s my old favourite and it is still as good as the first time I went there so why change now?!

heading out: I’m not too sure if I’m qualified to answer that now that I’ve not been out in years (literally)! But if it looks like we are going to kick on, I’m usually at a place we affectionately call “The BOG” or Bar On Gouger.
