It is that time again. Yep, one of our faves; It is Eat, Drink, Party time… Heading into the weeknd, it only seemed right to go to one of the coolest spots in Adelaide to get their hot picks.
As we have mentioned in previous editions of Eat, Drink, Party, we are lucky enough at Glam to get to lap up the new and vibrant venues as they pop up. But for something a bit different, we thought that we would ask the experts from some of our fave Adelaide destinations where they think we should be heading out for a meal, a casual drink… and then perhaps a few more drinks and a bit of tail feather shaking. Because if anyone would know, it’s them, right!
Well this week our expert is Owner/Venue Manager of Maybe Mae, Ollie Margan. So where does the Owner of one of Adelaide’s hottest venues actually go? We went straight to the source to get his hot picks on where you should head around Adelaide:
meal: Etica Pizzeria e Mozzarella bar. Best pizza in Adelaide. Hands down. Great spot for a quiet carb fuelled dinner away from the CBD, even better enjoyed as takeaway on the couch at home. The staff there are wonderful.
casual drink: Proof Laneway Rooms. Slightly out of the Peel/Leigh bar precinct, but is aesthetically one of the nicest spots to sit and have a casual drink in the city. Only pitfall is that you bump into every person you have ever met and never end up having ‘one drink.’ If that can be called a pitfall…
heading out: Ancient World. Great music, with a small but perfectly considered drinks offering. West end cans perch beautifully in a warwick on the bar top which supports one of the more Australian focused back bars in town. Honest service and fit out from some passionate guys without the slightest hint of pretension. An awesome spot!
