Edinburgh Festival Fringe Guru in Adelaide for one-off workshop

The Edinburgh Fringe Festival’s former director, Paul Gudgin, will be in Adelaide on 25- 26 September to host a one-off Festival and Event Management Master Class at the Australian Institute of Management (AIM). As part of his national tour, Paul will deliver his unique two-day workshop, sharing his 20+ years of experience in the management of festivals and events with local event managers.

Paul’s experience as a director of the world’s largest arts festival for eight years has made him an internationally sought after speaker and trainer. Under his leadership ticket sales passed the one million-ticket sale benchmark on four occasions.

The practical program will cover all aspects of festival and event management and will provide opportunities for one-on-one sessions with Paul so participants can get his expert opinion on projects and issues relevant to them. His workshop will cover topics including stakeholder management, event programming, sponsorship and fundraising, branding events, marketing, managing festival infrastructure and venues, working with the media, maximising event impacts for communities and approaches to evaluation.

The Festival and Event Management Master Class is at the Centre for Management Development, AIM SA, 180 Port Road, Hindmarsh on Sunday 25 – Monday 26 September from 10am until 4:30pm.
