Since its opening in 2021, the grounds of Heidrun Estate have become a favourite among visitors and locals alike and now, with the warmer weather approaching, the team at Heidrun haven given us just one more reason to end our week down South with the introduction of the Sunday Lunch Special.
If a long lunch in the sunshine with delicious food and of course, quality wines, sounds like your ideal way to spend a Sunday, then this is for you. For just $50pp you’ll indulge in a variety of shared entrees and Heidrun’s much-loved stone-baked pides as well as being led through a tasting of the vineyards award-winning range of wines, including the brand-new Cab Sav.
This exclusive drop was released in September and is only available at the Heidrun Estate cellar door. Named after the estate’s stunning, boho lunch setting that’s nestled above the vineyards, The Birdcage Cab Sav has a rich, sweet fruit flavour and is perfect for both a special occasion and a simple Sunday afternoon.
Heidrun Estate is renowned for making its wines to symbolise the special moments in life.
This latest addition adds to an already broad repertoire for the estate, including the Golden Hour Sauvignon Blanc which was released earlier this year – both of which are vegan-friendly.
The lush lawns of Heidrun Estate are also the perfect setting for the little ones with the winery even accommodating offering free meals for kids all weekend on Fridays and Sundays. With pizzas, calamari, chicken and chips all on the menu, this McLaren Vale gem is a favourite for the whole family.
