Endless Grooves celebrates five years with two-day party in Bowden

Endless Grooves is hosting a party at Oddio, Bowden’s suburban winery and cellar door, to celebrate its fifth birthday. Five Years of Endless Grooves is due to kick off this June.

Five years ago, Endless Grooves began as a club night in the belly of a basement bar. Born out of a desire to share under-appreciated music and a passion for bringing people together, Endless Grooves hosted DISCO is not a Dirty Word, which gave the team a chance to “cut their teeth” and host packed out, all-vinyl parties for two years.

Since then, the business has thrown events across South Australia. The Endless Grooves team has partied on the Popeye with its Dream Boat series, spent countless hours on the dance floor at Sugar, and hosted DJs from around the globe. The team has picnicked together at Papershell farm for the Utopian State Festival, and most recently, has joined forces with Oddio for their moody winter dance Hell on Earth.

Now, the business is celebrating this milestone with Five Years of Endless Grooves – a weekend affair at Oddio, Bowden’s stunning suburban winery and cellar door.

Music programming includes a jam-packed line-up of top-notch interstate guest artists and selectors alongside an all-star cast of supports, all of whom are stalwarts of Endless Grooves’ scene and have regularly appeared at their events over the past five years.

On Friday 17th June, the team will be inviting Wellington-born, Melbourne-based digger Jeremy Spellacey of Soundway and Crown Ruler fame to take the helm and lead guests on a journey through a genre-bending set. He’ll be joined on support by Endless Grooves founder Fantastic Black Plastic and Nantale.

On Saturday 18th June, you’ll be graced with Brisbane-born, Melbourne-based future soul artist Tiana Khasi, performing live with her band. Tiana’s music pays homage to her Samoan and Indian heritage, while exploring a forward-thinking blend of soul, jazz and pop.

She will be supported by Adelaide-based instrumental groove-laden quartet Nu Article, interspersed with DJ sets from Condesa Electronics’ honcho Mehdi, Isle of Jura label boss Jura Soundsystem, Three D Radio’s Raw Like Sushi host Sam Walker as well as Danvers, and Cazeaux O.S.L.O.

Food duties will be taken over by Sunny’s, offering delicious wood oven pizzas. Beverage options will include the latest releases of wines and aperitifs from local producers Delinquente Wine Co, Frederick Stevenson, Giovanni Armani Giorgio and Bizzarro Aperitivo as well as a range of local beers on tap.

Porch Sessions and Summertown Studio governor Sharni Honor will also run a pop-up record stall from Porch Records. This event has been granted support from the City of Charles Sturt Live and Local Grant. The purpose of this funding is to support local musicians, live music venues and small businesses to host live music experiences.

Five Years of Endless Grooves takes place at Oddio on Friday 17th of June from 5pm-1am and Saturday 18th June from 3pm-1am. Tickets are strictly limited and are available on the Endless Grooves website.

Endless Grooves is grateful to have worked on Kaurna Yerta over the past five years. This event, as ever, will be held on this land. Endless Grooves acknowledges and pays respect to Elders, past and present. Always was, always will be.
