If you’re a pizza professional who knows their Neapolitan from their New York Slice, Adelaide’s dedicated Pizza Festival in Campbelltown sounds like the July event for you.
With a strong history of Italian migration following the Second World War, the Campbelltown Pizza Festival is famed for highlighting traditional Italian pizza-making cultures.
The popular festival is returning this month, with some of the Adelaide’s best pizza and pasta restaurants hosting events for all the family and serving up delicious menus sure to rival any Italian holiday feast for those missing trips to Europe.

The Pizza Festival will be held from the 7 – 28 July and will include two epic Pizza Tours fit for those who are serious about their slices, taking pizza lovers on a culinary journey throughout the heart of this vibrant community.
As part of July’s inaugural winter Tasting Australia series, the tours will provide guests with coffee and cake for morning tea, followed by an expert pizza making demonstration and of course, a pizza feast for lunch, all washed down with a authentic Italian Aperitif – cheers!
The Campbelltown area has long been known as having a large and vibrant Italian community and is still a secret haven for pizza lovers across Adelaide with authentic Italian restaurants, eateries and takeaways nestled throughout.
Participating pizza festival venues are offering up pizza and pasta specials, including all you can eat pizza.
Each venue will showcase South Australian musicians, including Tom Kurzel and Brad Lee, who are both regular performers on the Adelaide music scene, as well as Alex Hadshiti who sings in multiple languages to bring back some of the international culture we’ve been missed whilst the borders are closed.
Other program highlights include an epic Monster Calonze Challenge at Café Va Bene, where a triumphant winner will take home $500.
Campbelltown City Council is aiming to support local business and attract visitors to the area to appreciate what
Campbelltown has to offer.
Visitors are encouraged to book ahead for each venue to guarantee a seat/table and avoid disappointment!
