With international travel off the cards for a while, now is the perfect time to immerse yourself in the different cultural cuisines on offer right here in South Australia.

One place to do this is Barrio Latin American Eatery, a new takeaway eatery set to open in Grange.

From the chef behind 2KW Bar and Restaurant’s tantalising menu, Barrio is your chance to indulge in authentic Argentinian street food on the beach.

The eatery, which is set to open later this month, was founded by husband and wife duo Cecilia Teigeiro, a pastry chef and Trent Lynn, the executive chef of 2KW.

The couple has had an interest in opening up a place of their own since moving back to Adelaide five years ago, after living and working in London, and then Argentina.

When it opens, Barrio will be providing locals with mouthwatering authentic Latin American cuisine, with dishes such as choripan, a traditional Argentinian sandwich with fresh Chorizo, as well as handmade churros and doughnuts.

The eatery will also be keeping the locals cool in Summer with ice blocks and ice-cream sandwiches.

Upon its opening, the Latin-style takeaway eatery intends to trade from Wednesday to Sunday, 7am to 9pm.

If you’re keen to get your hands on some authentic Argentinian street food, keep an eye out for Barrio”s opening date by following the eatery on Facebook.

Barrio Latin American Eatery is located at 586 Seaview Road, Grange.
