Anvers, a picturesque cellar door just outside Kangarilla, saw resounding success with their event Winter Blues in 2023. They have decided to extend the festivities to three sessions over two days this year, featuring hearty food, warm open fires, live music, and of course, great wines. The events will be cast against the backdrop of Anvers’ sleek industrial modern venue, transformed from a historic 1949 brick farm building, with floor to ceiling windows and luxurious interiors. But instead of the venue’s typical formal dining, you can expect relaxed afternoon hangouts and a lively Saturday night party.

And of course, enjoy wine tastings from Anvers’ incredible cellar, including new releases. Guests are welcome to bring the kids and even the dogs to enjoy the gorgeous lawns. You can sit back to enjoy acoustic covers of indie classics, street food, and of course more of those winter reds.

Saturday evening Max Savage will headline the event with upbeat tunes sure to get you dancing all night long. Max Savage blends mystic lyricism with rock and roll swagger to create a live show that moves effortlessly between country, blues and soul. So when you add a musician like this, to the line up at the upcoming Winter Blues events this month, alongside Southern hospitality and food, it’s a dynamic combination that will set this Winter Reds event apart from the rest.

This will be your last chance to see Max Savage live before he takes a break until early Summer. This is a must see event for all current and future fans of the breakout star of the 2019 Adelaide Cabaret Festival, to catch his dark but humorous live personality and narrative country blues performances. Alongside your Southern style dinner you can enjoy warming reds and craft beers. Guests will even get a free glass of wine or wine tasting upon arrival on the Saturday night.

Want to drink without worrying about the drive back? Anvers has organised bus transit to help patrons get to and from the city. Looking to save? RAA members will get discounted tickets and kids get in for just $5.

And if you can’t make it to the festivities, or wish to extend them for even longer, you can enjoy wine tastings and seasonal a-la-carte lunches at this beautiful venue from Thursday to Sunday.
