No matter what time of the year, its important to take a moment to focus on self-love and surround yourself with positive energy. Don’t get me wrong, the colourful bath bombs and one too many late night wines can definitely help you unwind. But Enlighten Adelaide Festival is coming back with a mission to improve people’s idea of health and well-being. It’s a total lifestyle revamp.
This year, Enlighten Adelaide Festival is celebrating ten years of bringing people together to celebrate wellness, relaxation and self-care. Held in the heart of the CBD at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the festival will take place on Saturday May 18 and Sunday May 19.
Festival Director, Sue Shaw, is hoping to create a welcoming environment where people can learn from South Australian practitioners who will share tips on how to improve the energy and balance in their lives.
Not only will attendees receive advice from some of the best self-care professionals. Interactive experiences are also part of the package, including a Day Spa area offering massages and reiki energy healing in a private setting. Other services will involve yoga and meditation as well as workshops and presentations.
Local musicians will perform throughout the weekend so its the perfect time to sit back and enjoy some tunes. The festival will also cater a selection of food at the Festival Cafe, a barista station and a range of gluten-free, raw snacks.
No need to worry about the little ones either, with the Kids Creative Corner providing a henna station, story time meditation and craft activities. They’ll be endlessly entertained.
Over half of the stalls are already sold out so limited spaces are available for those of you interested in leaving your worries at home for a night or two.
