Espresso martini steaks, anyone?
Seafire on the Marina, home to Glenelg’s premium steaks, will release two special booze-filled dry-aged steaks this month.
The restaurant sliced up their espresso martini dry-aged steak on Friday, which has been dry rubbed with fresh coffee beans, injected with vodka, and served with a chocolate butter, reminiscent of the popular cocktail. It’s currently on offer until the limited supply runs out.
From Friday, 16 July, the restaurant will be cutting their Caribbean-inspired delight: a coconut caramel, dry-aged steak injected with delicious Malibu Rum and covered in a thick coconut caramel-infused butter and paired with a refreshing pineapple jus.
Both flavoured steaks have been sitting in the restaurant’s dry-aging cabinet for 35 days, where the flavours both injected in the meat and coated on the outside are able to seep into the beef and provide a subtle yet delicious flavour that changes the steak experience.
The dry aging process helps to intensify the natural flavours of the beef while developing a silky tenderness that cannot be replicated with unaged beef.
More flavoured steaks will be released later in the month including peri peri steak served with a peri peri sauce, nacho spice steak matched with a spicy tomato and corn salsa, and Rogan Josh-inspired steak with a Rogan Josh sauce. These steaks are available every Friday until sold out and they are served with confit cherry tomatoes, homemade onion puree, and a matching sauce.
In addition to their uniquely flavoured steaks, Seafire on the Marina also offers a variety of other delicious dishes including a range of oysters, pasta, seafood and desserts. There is also a steak and wine flight available which includes three different steaks each matched with Yalumba Wine.
Seafire on the Marina is located at Shop 2, Holdfast Shores Marina Pier at Glenelg, overlooking Glenelg beach and the Marina and is open every day from 11:30am until late.
