The backing band, guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, trombone, trumpet, saxophone and vocalist, took to the stage and burst into sound as Teresa De Gennaro, dressed in a beautiful electric blue gown, swept down the aisle to the stage. What followed was a very polished and professional evening of international song.

On a large screen was projected a map of Europe which, as she introduced each song, showed her travels through Europe to the various locations from which came the divas that she honours in this production. As she sang each song this was replaced by a video of the each diva, along with an English translation of the lyrics.

In a high energy performance she introduced us to a wide range of vocalists, some unfamiliar, others, like Edith Piaf, Marlene Dietrich and Nana Mouskouri, much better known. As her travels took us to the different countries so she sang in ten different languages and a number of diverse styles. Her rich, warm voice, wide vocal range and expressive delivery made this a very memorable performance

Unfortunately, you will have to hope for a future run as the season is completely sold out.
