Evenings at Elder Hall – August 2013 concerts

 

Elder_HallEvenings at Elder Hall continues with two magnificent concerts in August. The first, on 22 August, is free and introduces music lovers to the rising stars of the Elder Conservatorium. The second concert is the hugely popular Elder Conservatorium Wind Orchestra plus a world premiere of a work by emerging composer Nicholas Denison.

A Night of Concertos features the Elder Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra conducted by Keith Crellin. This free concert at 7.30pm on Thursday 22 August is part of the popular Evenings at Elder Hall series. It’s a wonderful opportunity for music lovers to meet the rising stars of tomorrow.

The program includes concertos by C.P.E. Bach, Schumann, Elgar and Mozart performed by both the acclaimed Elder Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra and featuring several soloists, all students of the Elder Conservatorium,

The second concert, Kaleidoscope: A whirlwind of Colour and Sound, will take place at 6.30pm on Saturday 31 August. Presented by the majestic Elder Conservatorium Wind Orchestra, it will include the world premiere of Adelaide Composer Nicholas Denison’s new work, Concert for Percussion for Wind Orchestra.

The Elder Conservatorium Wind Orchestra goes from strength to strength, with audience numbers growing in appreciation of their exhilarating range of music performance and professional performances.
