FireFeast on Kangaroo Island
For two nights in June, Full Circle Spirits and The Enchanted Fig Tree are hosting a unique dining experience on Kangaroo Island called FireFeast to launch the new limited-edition Scorched Fig Liqueur.
It will be an exhilarating adventure that features two chefs, a winemaker, a bonfire, flaming cocktails, and a progressive banquet set inside a historic old shearer’s hut made from sugar gum trees.
Lit by flickering candlelight, the evening will be hosted by Adelaide Chef Alana Brabin, Rose Kentish from from Full Circle Spirits and The Enchanted Fig Tree’s Nick Hannaford. Together the trio will bring the theatre of interactive dining to life as they cook, smoke and flame each tasting course from an impressive fire pit.
“FireFeast celebrates the magic of collaboration and camaraderie where guests can come together over delicious food and drink,” Nick says.
“We’re thrilled to host this unique experience and showcase the best of Kangaroo Island’s local produce.”
It’s also the first chance people will get to sample the limited-edition release of Full Circle’s stunning Scorched Fig Liqueur, made from Kangaroo Island figs grown on the property.
The exciting collaboration brings together the expertise of Full Circle Spirits who’s a small batch artisan distillery known for its exceptional spirits, and the magic of The Enchanted Fig Tree which is one of Kangaroo Island’s most beloved dining venues.
“We wanted to create a liqueur that captured the essence of Kangaroo Island and its beautiful produce. The organic figs from The Enchanted Fig Tree were the perfect choice, not only for their incredible flavour but also because they represent the natural beauty and seasonal abundance of the island,” Rose Kentish says.
“Following the devastating fires of 2020, it’s more important than ever to support the growth and renewal of this beautiful place.”
FireFeast is the perfect location to try the liqueur which only has 300 bottles made, but it can also be purchased from the Full Circle Spirits websites and various venues across Australia.
During the FireFeast event there will be a mystery course that will test one’s collaboration and survival skills under the stars. It will definitely be an evening to remember.
