Living Melting Pot with Matriarch – Rouge Wines and Watervale Hotel

Spend the afternoon with two of the regions leading ladies – when it comes to doing things differently. Two eco warriors one in food and one in wine. Discover what they are both doing to add to the Living Melting Pot of our beautiful region.

Nicola Palmer of the Watervale Hotel & Penobscot Farm along with Marnie Roberts of Matriarch & Rouge Wines will host you through out the afternoon and evening.

You will get exclusive access to the roots of both amazing women’s and their business, you will get to taste the organic food from where it comes from and taste exclusive unreleased wines.

Learn first hand knowledge of the land and history of Watervale region, from its Traditional owners through to current times, the history of the Hotel and surrounds.

The day starts at 3pm at Penobscot Farm – the organic, biodynamic, permaculture farm that is the lifeblood of the Watervale Hotel. The food journey starts here both from what you will taste in to garden to your first course.

At 4:30pm we will then travel up to the Bryksy Vineyard to visit one of the Riesling sites, taste wines from bottle and barrel. Your second course will accompany the wines here along with a little smoke.

We will then journey to the Watervale Hotel  for 6pm. The rest of your culinary journey will happen here in the beautifully renovated beer garden. Every course matched with stunning Matriarch & Rouge wines.
