Winemaker’s Long Table Lunch – Firehawk Farm Exploration of Geology and Biodynamics
You’re invited to join Dandelion Vineyards’ Winemaker’s Long Table Lunch, hosted by their Winemaker and Founder, Elena Brooks, and Chef Chris Bone.
Now the home of Dandelion Vineyards Wonder Room, Firehawk Farm is a 60-acre property perched atop an ancient ridge that overlooks McLaren Vale, the Willunga Escarpment, and the Gulf of St Vincent. Their native bird of prey, the Firehawk, patrols the vineyards, keeping other birds, rabbits, and grape-eating animals at bay. Beneath the surface, there’s limestone and ironstone, while the 40 acres of vines include Grenache, Shiraz, and Petite Sirah. At this special event, they’ll be exploring the geology and biodynamics of this unique location with Elena Brooks as you enjoy the amazing views and sip on the wines made there.
Experience a memorable afternoon of Firehawk Farm wines while savouring a 5-course lunch prepared by distinguished chef, Chris Bone. Throughout the afternoon, you’ll have the chance to learn more about the rich history of Dandelion Vineyards as Elena Brooks shares stories about our vineyards, the region they grow in, and the wines that have made their winery renowned.
To celebrate Firehawk Farm, the lunch will showcase the Treasure Trove of McLaren Vale Grenache, Faraway Tree of McLaren Vale Grenache, Firehawk of McLaren Vale Shiraz, Moonrise Kingdom of McLaren Vale Shiraz Grenache Petite Sirah and the Midnight Rainbow of McLaren Vale Petite Sirah.
The event is not to be missed!
