The sound of hooves, the thrill of the crowd, flowers in full bloom, the greenest grass, champagne corks popping and a fabulously dressed crowd – it must be Spring Racing Carnival time.
The South Australian Jockey Club (SAJC) has officially launched the Spring Racing Carnival in South Australia with an exciting calendar of activity throughout the season and for the first time will host an after race concert on Melbourne Cup Day that’s sure to have Adelaide buzzing.
Following the conclusion of the races on the first Tuesday in November, Guy Sebastian and his band will perform an after race concert at Morphettville Racecourse. The concert will not be limited to those spending the day at Adelaide’s home of racing – patrons are encouraged to attend the concert at Morphettville following their day of celebration from wherever they may be across Adelaide
Brenton Wilkinson, SAJC CEO said “we’re looking forward to an exciting carnival here at Morphettville. The highlight of course will be Melbourne Cup Day with the after race concert by Guy Sebastian”.
