Pack your bags ladies and gentlemen because Tasting Australia Airlines is back in business for 2022 offering a unique, once in a lifetime experience to regional destinations around the state.

After the success of last year’s event, the airline added two new destinations to its repertoire and while two of the destinations have already sold out (sad face), tickets still remain for an incredible journey to Coffin Bay, embarking on the ultimate foodie escape.

The day trip to Coffin Bay is, as you’d expect, solely focused on the local seafood offerings. Head straight to the source for the freshest fish, oysters and crayfish that our great state has to offer.

Led by four of the state’s best seafood-loving chefs, you’ll start the day with local nibbles before heading to one of the Eyre Peninsula’s most pristine beaches where Tony Carroll, Executive Chef of Fishbank, will share with you his take on fresh vongole.

Available year-round, Coffin Bay vongole are harvested fresh from sub-tidal waters and filled with nutrients produced from the Southern Ocean.

You’ll then experience the taste of freshwater crays and of course finish the day with Coffin Bay’s claim to fame, the humble oyster. Jump aboard an oyster lease boat and learn how the delicacies make their way from farm to table.

The specially crafted menus across the day are arranged using only the freshest and seasonal ingredients from the region and are curated over months of planning.

The alternative Tasting Australia Airlines destinations, Coober Pedy and Flinders Ranges, are both overnight experiences with very limited capacity but if it sounds like something you’d be interested in, keep an ear to the ground next year to be sure you don’t miss out!

Your airline tickets are $850 and includes all flights, ground and boat transportation as well as all meals and beverages to match.

Tickets are still available for Sunday May 1st 2022 but don’t delay because seats are limited.
