Experience One Of Adelaide’s Unique Food Destinations At Tasting Australia 2016

It will be all kinds of delicious…

Things are set to get tasty when South Australia’s unique food manufacturing destination at Glynde is showcased during Tasting Australia in May 2016.

The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters is preparing to host the inaugural Taste Glynde event as part of Tasting Australia presented by Thomas Foods.

City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters Mayor, Robert Bria, said the Council was delighted to host this event as an opportunity to continue to promote the Glynde Precinct.

“Glynde has so much on offer as a local food manufacturing precinct and is home to many renowned and iconic South Australian businesses,” said Mayor Bria.

“Following the success of the Food Secrets of Glynde initiative and publication which was produced by the Council in 2014, the Council is continuing to support this unique precinct…

“Taste Glynde will add a unique dimension to the Tasting Australia program by showcasing some of the diversity and multiculturalism of South Australia’s produce, which is manufactured and available for purchase in a small industrial cluster set in the suburban backstreets of Glynde,” he said.

Taste Glynde will provide the opportunity for people to discover and meet local food businesses, producers and manufacturers, enjoy samples, food and wine and be treated to live cooking demonstrations.

Phil Sims, Chief Executive Officer of Robern Menz said he is excited to be hosting Taste Glynde on the Robern Menz premises at Glynde.

“This event is a great opportunity to showcase to South Australia all of the world-class products that are manufactured within the Glynde Precinct, including our business, which produces the much loved Menz FruChocs,” he said.

Danniel Amadio, Managing Director of Amadio Wines who will also be participating in the Taste Glynde event, is excited to see the Food Secrets of Glynde initiative expand even further.

“We can’t wait to be a part of Taste Glynde as it provides another ideal opportunity to promote our wines,” said Daniel.

“This event will help to build awareness of the many food manufacturing businesses within Glynde, producing premium quality products which are being consumed all around the world. It’s great to see Glynde become part of something as big as the Tasting Australia festival,” he said.

Sounds all kinds of delicious.
