There is a brand-new in-home dining experience that brings the rich flavours of Asian cuisine directly to your doorstep. Soulful Dining is an innovative venture established by two business partners.
Andrew Sengdara and Trang Trieu are looking to eliminate the stress of eating out and give you a taste of their signature dishes in the comfort of your own home. With a fusion of Vietnamese and Lao flavours, Soulful Dining is bringing bold new ideas to a relatable demographic: parents.
As a mother of two young children, Trang says that the simple act of going out to eat can have its challenges, as all the factors of parenthood stand in the way.
“I wanted to go out and have dinner, but I found it extremely difficult to take my kids out and enjoy an evening, and my friends all say the same thing,” Trang says.
“Andrew and I sat down one night and just thought, ‘why is there no service where people would come to your house and cook up something for you? You could enjoy your friend’s company and still be able to put your children to bed.'”
About three months ago, the catering duo created Soulful Dining to combine their talents and ideas into a unique business.
Andrew has 12 years of service experience in the food industry and currently works at his own takeaway restaurant Zap Lai. He has also previously worked at Melt CBD for 10 years and gained experience at a host of other restaurants around Adelaide.
In this new venture, they aim to modernize traditional Asian dining and provide a comfortable way to experience it.
With an extensive menu featured on their website, some signatures include prawn sashimi with a Thai nam jin dressing; a miso udon noodle dish with mushrooms and wagyu sliders with provolone and kimchi mayo.
“We use a lot of SA ingredients – all the herbs are picked fresh from our garden as well, so we always use local stuff. Even our oysters are from coffin bay,” Andrew says.
Starting at $69 per head with a minimum of 15 people, you can enjoy seven personalised courses that will bring a cacophony of vibrant tastes. This comes with two starters, entrees, mains and one dessert for each person in your party.
If you’re looking for a luxury dinner without the hassle, Soulful Dining will fulfil that craving with truly excellent food.
