From the creators of Kangaroo Island’s Enchanted Fig Tree dining experience comes a day of whiting burgers and Adelaide Hills wines at one of Adelaide’s newest urban cellar doors.
Gastronomo Dining is renowned for bringing the magic of outdoor dining to South Australia, dishing up artfully curated menus at spectacularly theatrical venues. Gastronomo most notably hosts The Enchanted Fig Tree experience, which enables guests to dine inside the gnarled limbs of a 120 year old tree.
Most recently, Gastronomo also hosted Sensorium, which allowed guests to enjoy an eight-course tasting menu cooked over an open fire pit inside an historic sugar gum hut.

Now, Gastronomo is collaborating with Catlin Wines to provide Adelaide-based foodies an opportunity to experience a signature Gastronomo dish in a casual and affordable setting.
On Sunday 11 September, guests can make their way down to the new Magill-based cellar door, which first opened to the public in June.
Sample some of Kangaroo Island’s best by trying Gastronomo’s fresh saltbush whiting burger, served throughout the afternoon. Accompanied by some of the best produce from Adelaide Central Market’s Kangaroo Island stall 17, the day promises to be delicious!

For $30.00 per person, each guest will be guaranteed entry, a glass of wine on arrival, and one of the famed Gastronomo whiting burgers. From there, guests will also be able to enjoy a tasting flight or two and explore the new local cellar door.
While the space is new, the wines are produced by Darryl Catlin – an experienced winemaker who has spent over a decade perfecting his knowledge in Adelaide Hills wines.
Established in 2013, Catlin Wines has established a great reputation for producing high quality wines, named one of the “Top 10 Best New Wineries” in the 2016 James Halliday Wine Companion.
