Indulging visitors with some of their cellar door gems, you can expect to enjoy perfectly cellared Longview wines, from remarkable vintages, against the stunning backdrop of the vineyard.
With perfectly manicured vines running across 65 hectares of rolling hills, this stunning family-owned vineyard is the perfect setting as you sip and slurp your way through bowls of fresh, homemade pasta.
The towering gum trees, landscaped gardens and rural-chic architecture knits together this quintessential Australian landscape. There’s no better view during a cool winter weekend or a sunny summer day.
Longview Vineyard Head Chef Alastair Raymond takes Winter Red’ers on a food journey with an Italian inspired menu using local ingredients.
“Our Italian style menu has been inspired by local ingredients paired with our Italian variety of wines.
“Some stand out local ingredients include Adelaide hills porcini, King prawns, Boston bay mussels, section 28 cheeses, Longview quinces not to mention in house pasta,” Raymond said.
The menu will include wholesome bowls of freshly prepared homemade pasta and winter warming braised lamb shanks complimented by polenta and gremolata.
While Head Chef Raymond indulges your tastebuds, the Longview team will have numerous exceptional vintages on display including their award winning 2012 Longview Red Bucket Shiraz Cabernet and from the archives, their 2001 Longview Devil’s Elbow Cabernet.
Longview is a stunning family owned Australian vineyard located just outside the historic township of Macclesfield in the Adelaide Hills.
The vineyard has quickly established itself as one of the most awarded vineyards since its 2001 inaugural vintage.
