From the mystical lands of the Edinburgh Fringe in 2023 and a completed sold-out run, the adventure continues for the sensational Dungeons & Dragons podcast team, with their Australian premiere at this year’s Adelaide Fringe with ‘The Never-Ending Quest—a family-friendly (PG-13) show that has captivated audiences and features a unique blend of comedy and tabletop gaming antics.
With improvised comedy at the roll of a dice, you can expect teamwork, nerdy jokes and guest star comedians playing characters Noblin and Goblin.
Josh and Alex, the founders of the show, embarked on this journey after growing weary of the mainstream shows flooding their hometown of Edinburgh. Deciding it was time to raise the banner for local, homegrown comedy, their commitment to their craft and to their fans led them to perform at Brewdog over the summer of 2022—drawing in crowds not with pints but with their infectious Dungeons & Dragons role-playing show.
It was such a hit that the Off Fest-nominated producers, Future Artists, knew they had to elevate the show to the next level, bringing it to the prestigious Gilded Balloon for the summer of 2023. Producer Mark Ashmore captured the spirit of the endeavour perfectly: ‘Well, we should go to the Adelaide fringe then!’
The Adelaide iteration of the show promises even more excitement with a rotating cast of guest stars, ensuring that every performance is as unique and unpredictable.
