Be taken on a food and wine adventure with a bio-dynamic farm tour and degustation lunch package with Watervale Hotel this May.
The special Tasting Australia event gives guests the fantastic opportunity to learn about Watervale’s fresh produce, from the garden to your plate.
Activity on the Watervale Hotel’s Penobscot farm follows the lunar cycle, making the process of producing fresh, full-flavour food a truly magical, fascinating experience.
As you see, hear, feel, smell and taste your way through the farm, you will also learn how vibrational energy, improved soil health and effective water retention all lead to better fresh produce.
“Fresh food tastes better, and when it is grown in soil that is vital and alive, the flavour and nutrition is enhanced. The produce delivered from Penobscot Farm’s organic and bio-dynamic practices provides me with daily inspiration for creative expression,” said Executive Chef Nicola Palmer.
After the farm tour, you’ll be guided back to the hotel where you will enjoy a six-course degustation lunch, carefully matched with Clare Valley wines from producers using alternative winemaking practices.
Nicola and her team of international chefs will demonstrate how they enrich and enhance the natural flavours of their ingredients. To complement Nicola’s fantastic work, Warrick will select wines some alternative, biodynamic vineyards.
“I am excited by the new wines we are seeing emerging in the Clare Valley – from organic and biodynamic vineyards, alternative varieties, new techniques, and new faces challenging traditional thinking. I look forward to sharing the best of these with you over our ‘alternative reality’ lunch,” said Warrick.
The event will happen on 1 May 2022, and tickets are $250 each.
