So, with the arrival of the cooler months so too the mighty truffle and whether you’ve never experienced the taste or you’re a regular truffle enthusiast now is the time to get your fix.
In honour of the season, Eleven restaurant are hosting an evening of indulgence taking you on a journey through the coveted Adelaide Hills with a special, winter-inspired menu.
Hosted by Eleven owners Themis Chryssidis and Callum Hann, the Truffles and Red Wine tour will present you with five courses of refined delicacy with each dish featuring the ever-desirable truffle.
Expect to experience not only what the freshest truffle tastes like but also learn how its grown and why it’s so special with special guest Marco Marinelli aka The Mushroom Man coming along to educate diners. His deep-seeded passion will allow you to see the tuber in a light you’ve never known, leaving you with a new, deep-found respect for truffles and the industry.
As you are presented with each dish, a paired wine will accompany. Five of the best drops from the Adelaide Hills have been carefully chosen by Eleven’s in house sommelier to accompany each dish.
The menu is reflective of Eleven’s famed contemporary Australian cuisine and will feature the likes of gruyere gougere with truffle crème, murray cod, wild mushrooms in a brown-butter sauce and wagyu rump drizzled in a rich truffle oil all tied together with a sweet finish of porcini ice-cream.
