Expressions of Interest Open For North Adelaide Railway Station

Adelaide City Council is seeking expressions of interest from community groups or commercial retailers who are interested in leasing and operating from the historic North Adelaide Railway Station.

Located between War Memorial Drive and the Adelaide rail lines, the unique Victorian-styled building is one of only a few original station houses remaining in the country.

“Built in 1857, the North Adelaide Railway Station is a lovely character building, with a number of trains passing through the route on a daily basis,” said Lord Mayor Stephen Yarwood.

“It’s surrounded by parks and open spaces and would make a great location for community, cultural, hospitality or tourism operators.”

Expressions of Interest are open from today (8th May 2012) until 6th June 2012. Interested parties are invited to contact James Juers at Brock Harcourts on 0438 442 909 or via email on [email protected]

All submissions will be submitted to Council before proceeding with any negotiations with the applicants.
