Hannaford & Sachs Catering – A View to Kill:

Located on a cliff edge overlooking the beautifully pristine Snelling Beach, the eccentric Cliff House looks as if it has come straight from an old James bond film! It’s one of the islands most stunning houses and was architecturally designed by South Australian football legend, Ian Hannaford. Its round bedroom and sunken cushioned pit makes it a stand out, luxurious place to stay. Starting on the beach the event kicks off with a Bond character appearing from the surf to serve martinis made from local KI Spirits Gin. with a twist!. Guests then venture from the beach to the stunning Cliff House where retro canapés will be served by the very talented Hannaford & Sachs catering team as the cocktails flow into the afternoon.

Island Pure – Picnic of ‘Biblical’ proportions:

Watch sheep being milked; sample the range of delicious Island Pure cheeses and picnic in the grounds of a working sheep dairy set amongst majestic Australian river gum trees. This event will include beer tastings with traditional Mediterranean cheese and yogurt making harking back to biblical times. Taste other local seafood and meats that will be cooked by the Island’s best chefs on barbecues and at campfire stations.

A Food (R)evolution:

Is a small-plate dining experience offered by Craig and Janet Wickham of Exceptional Kangaroo Island with Island Chef Chan Thornley. Set on the first farm in South Australia, this starts with welcome drinks around the campfire and moving on to white linen dining in a rustic shearing shed. Dinner is a journey through the history of South Australian fare seen through Kangaroo Island eyes with beautifully illustrated storytelling punctuating the menu (and visuals). The menu is a historic fusion of ingredients which have featured somewhere in the Island’s history: from foraged indigenous ingredients; items the sealers and whalers survived on; simple country fare right through to the diversity of farm gate produce we enjoy today.

SeaLink Kangaroo Island FEASTival will be held from Friday the May 1st 2015 – Friday May 8th 2015, with tickets available on sale in late November 2014.
