Here at Glam Adelaide we really can’t go past a pizza, we’re pizza connoisseurs, which is why we were pretty keen when Farina 00 added pizza to the menu recently.
For the locals, Farina 00 has been a community staple for those who like freshly made pasta with a glass of wine. but now they’ve seized Farina 00 has taken the opportunity to expand its repertoire. Welcome the introduction of Farina 00’s new pizza menu.
Now a new pizza oven isn’t necessarily anything to write home about but when your home is in Italy and you want one of the best pizza ovens flown in from Verona for your Michelin star experienced Sicilian chef then you better write a good letter.
Farina 00 has built itself as a premier pasta and wine restaurant and it wants to continue that pedigree with their venture into pizza with specialist (Sicilian) pizza chef, Domenico Messina.
Owner Lewis Marro says, “Domenico comes from Sicily where he was a chef restaurant owner for many years and has grown up immersing himself in Sicilian cooking. He will be bringing the distinct and unrivaled flavours of the island here to Adelaide.”
Farina 00 is continuing its culture of creating gourmet dishes with local and imported Italian produce with its pizza. With imported D.O.P San Marzano tomatoes for the base and specialty Italian flour for the pizza dough, Farina 00 aims to introduce Adelaide to traditional Sicilian style pizza which features thicker crusts and bases when compared to the Napolitano style which is common around Adelaide.
Farina 00 can be found at 128 King William Rd. Check out their website here.
