Fashion’s best create Cricket Australia’s latest media kit

Cricket Australia have employed some of fashion’s most respected names to create their 2012-13 men’s and women’s media kits including renowned international fashion photographer Adrian Mesko and former Vogue Australia Junior Fashion Editor Ilona Hamer.

Titled ‘A Perfect Mix’, the Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars’ lookbook showcases some of female cricket’s most recognisable faces– including Captain Jodie Fields, Ellyse Perry and Alex Blackwell – while also showcasing some of cricket’s up-and-comers.

Published for the fourth consecutive year, the kit highlights the perfect mix of players that will to help drive the Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars and ICC World Twenty20 Champions to further world-beating success.

For the first time, Cricket Australia is also casting light on the new male faces of Australian cricket including Ed Cowan, Pat Cummins and James Pattinson.

Cricket Australia Senior Manager – Marketing, Julian Dunne says the decision to produce a men’s kit this year was spurred by the fans wanting to see another side of our emerging international stars.

“The annual international season of cricket is packed with the biggest name athletes in the country and we wanted to give fans a glimpse of what our cricketers are like off the field,“ he said.

“We worked with our creative team to highlight a mix of raw talent across the men’s and women’s teams, the future of Australian cricket.”

“It’s an exciting time for cricket, the women’s team is the best in the world and has just won the World T20 and the men’s team is searching for the number one mantle this summer. We’re looking forward to seeing the young gun’s in action.”

The kit was produced by Franc Communications and features the creative work of New York based designer Sarah King, fashion photographer Adrian Mesko and former Vogue Australia Junior Fashion Editor Ilona Hamer.
