The Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market Pop-Up Market is relocating to Goodwood Primary School this year, and they are kicking off with a special Father’s Day event.
The move follows the tremendous success of last year’s event at Orphanage Park, Millswood and the school will be transformed into a hub of fresh produce, delectable treats, and community festivities.
The market will take place over three Sundays, the 3rd, 10th, and 17th of September, before returning to its home site at the Adelaide Showground on Sunday 24th September.
On Father’s Day, take your dad to the market to celebrate his special day, with the market providing the perfect ambience with a scrumptious breakfast, coffee, kids activities and a sausage sizzle- it’s a wholesome place to cherish moments spent together.
An exclusive Adelaide Farmers Market Father’s Day member giveaway will give members the chance to win a wheelbarrow brimming with market goodies, valued at more than $300. For those who aren’t members, you will have the chance to win a flowerpot filled with delightful goodies.
Over its three weekends, the Pop Up Market will be an opportunity for everyone to indulge in a unique shopping experience, with its wide variety of beautiful fresh produce to explore, directly sourced from South Australian growers and makers.
With more than 40 stallholders participating, the market will showcase a diverse range of offerings, from succulent fruits and vegetables to artisanal breads, handmade cheeses, free-range meats, and much more.
Adelaide Showground Farmers Market Executive Officer Christine Robertson shared her excitement for the upcoming event.
“The Pop Up Market has become a cherished tradition, connecting our community with local farmers and artisans. By relocating to Goodwood Road Primary School, we aim to enhance the market experience and introduce more people to the incredible range of produce available in our state,” Christine says.
The market will not only be filled with beautiful produce, but will also feature many fun activities for the whole family.
Attendees can listen to live music and relish in the goodness of freshly brewed coffee and mouthwatering treats while children experience sheer delight with creative craft stations and other kid-friendly activities.
To add even more excitement, the market’s collaboration with the local school will bring student-run stalls to the event.
