If you’re heading up to Glen Ewin Estate this weekend for the Feast of Valhallah, you’d be thinking right about now… “Sh*t I haven’t organised anything to wear”. Don’t worry, I hadn’t either until yesterday, when the good folks at the Theatre Costume Shop on Wright Street got in touch with me. It turns out they do a lot of costuming for Medieval Fair and the Game of Rhones wine event, so they’re stocked up with the goods. I figured everywhere would be out of stock, but I hadn’t looked hard enough.
They offer the full experience. When walk in, you won’t be handed a complete costume on a hanger. They work with you to achieve the look you’re after, and each element of the costume is added along the way. It means your costume is completely unique to the next person’s, and you’ll end up looking as authentic or fun as you want.
You’ve got up until Saturday day to grab your outfit, so pop in to the city tomorrow during your lunch break, or grab something before the event on Saturday and you’ll be set.
Here’s some pics I took to give you a little inspo. See you Saturday!
