Held in their vineyard, a beautiful backdrop for a relaxing evening, the night will indeed be a feast of grand proportions.
A local caterer will be putting picnic baskets together and filling them with locally sourced seasonal produce and other goodies. You will be able to purchase these alongside Kay Brothers’ handcrafted wines.
If you are not a practised picnicker, no problem. You will be able to purchase the supplies you need on the night, such as a picnic rug, food and beverages.
Kay Brothers vineyard is only 10 minutes from the main street of McLaren Vale and an hour from Adelaide’s CBD, yet the views of the Mount Lofty Ranges are entirely uninterrupted. Perfect for choosing a star to purchase. Yes, that’s right, you can buy a star on the night. Not many people can say they own a star; don’t you want to be one of the few with a star in their list of belongings?

The event is dependent on the weather, but if the sunny weather stays for the next month, the glorious grassed picnic grounds will be magnificent for a night under the stars with luscious food and wine.
To add to the appeal, not only can you purchase a picnic basket full of curated local treats, but you will also be able to purchase from a selection of hot and cold local produce. Get your hands on a slice of wood-fired pizza, delectable cheeses, fresh bread, and indulge in a dessert or two… or three, no one will judge.
The local food and wine are more than tempting; they are downright irresistible. The Fleurieu Peninsula has a bounty of goodies to share, and Kay Brothers Winery is giving you an excuse to make the trip down and do some taste testing for yourself!
