Festival appoints savvy arts marketer

adelaide festivalKate Gould Chief Executive & Associate Artistic Director of the Adelaide Festival Corporation today announced the appointment of Michelle Fotiou as the company’s new Marketing Manager. Michelle Fotiou joins the Adelaide Festival from the Adelaide Fringe where she held a similar role.

Kate Gould says, “With the advent of new and diverse communications media specifically through the web, the marketing of major arts festivals is changing on a weekly basis.”

“The new look annual Adelaide Festival needed a confident and bold Marketing Manager to attract new audiences through diverse media but also communicate effectively with our loyal core audience.”

“With Michelle Fotiou we’ve secured a savvy arts marketer. Her valuable experience working on the Fringe when it changed from a biennial to an annual event will prove an asset to the Adelaide Festival.”

Michelle Fotiou is well known in South Australia having held several arts marketing positions including Marketing and PR Manager of the State Theatre Company of South Australia and Marketing Coordinator of the 2004 Adelaide Festival.

Michelle commences with the Adelaide Festival in July 2010.
