Winter is coming.. and that can only mean one thing- Festival of Darkness is back!
For one day only, NOLA Adelaide and The Stag Public House are bringing back their celebration of Australian’s best dark beers across two massive sessions.
The annual dark beer festival showcases 18 independent Australian breweries. The brewers will be pouring all things dark, malted and imperial for lovers of local beer Sunday June 12 at NOLA.
Grab your mates and take a sip of the newly released barrel aged stouts and porters to warm up this winter.
Tickets are $50 each, but $180 if you want to bring along 3 of your mates. All tickets include access to masterclasses and NOLA’s ‘wall of darkness’- 16 taps of dark and imperial brews from some of Australia’s most renowned brewers.
If you’re interested in learning how to brew your own dark concoctions, masterclasses will be held by Hop Nation, Mismatch Brewing and Bridge Road Brewing.
If you’re more into sipping without the hard work, tastings will be held by Weber Grill Academy throughout the event.
If you fancy picking the brains of selected brewers, you can add an intimate masterclass by either Hop Nation or Mismatch Imperial covering everything you need to know about dark beer to your ticket price. A Q & A hosted by Dace Lawson from Bridge Road Brewing will also give you exclusive insights into the world of darkness.
Grab a pint and join popular local artists for a day of live music and fresh food straight from NOLA and The Stag Public Houses kitchen.
Session one will run from 12-4pm, with session two starting just after and finishing at 8:30. Visitors are encouraged to also join the crew for the FREE afterparty opening 9pm until late.
