Festival of Ferrari returns to The Bend with record number of prancing horses

The Festival of Ferrari 2023 will be back this October at The Bend Motorsport Park for its fourth year of celebration.

The Ferrari Club SA is hosting its annual Festival of Ferrari at The Bend Motorsport Park this October 6th and 7th. The Festival of Ferrari is in its fourth year of celebration, with festivities planned to make any car lover a Ferrari fan.

“This year we’re looking to make it ever bigger, we’re hoping to get 60+ Ferraris on the track,” Merv the President of the Ferrari Australia Club South Australian Chapter says.

The event is anticipating hundreds of people at the track, both interstate and local, for an action-packed event.

“It’s a good event for our National Club to bring ALL our members together, not only from South Australia but our interstate members as well to showcase some of the rarest and most exclusive models of Ferraris,” Merv says.

“The weekend will start with a Friday night welcome cocktail party for our members, where a selection of beautiful cars will be judged in a Concorso Car display, and the winners will be awarded in a separate event later in the year,” Merv said.

Ferrari Club Australia members won’t be the only ones able to enjoy the festivities. On Saturday the club will be officially welcoming the public to its packed day of four-wheel action.

Throughout the day, spectators will also be able to check out the cars on the track, while the owners take the Ferraris out on the circuit. There will also be an open track pit lane walk for fans to mingle amongst the Ferraris.

Due to the over whelming response to last year’s Festival of Ferrari by the public, this year The Bend will be inviting 3rd party vendors to create a great food alley to cater for those who go along.

On Saturday, attendees will have the opportunity to see the Dream Ride Foundation parade laps. The Dream Ride Experience provides kids with Down Syndrome and other intellectual disabilities with their dream day out, in this instance doing hot laps in Ferraris around The Bend.

There will also be participants from various other charities and foundations enjoying the cruise laps in the Ferraris.

“It’s about helping where we can. We can sometimes take the fact that we own a Ferrari for granted and forget that for a young boy or girl, having the chance to go for a ride in one, is a dream come true.  People get a lot out of that, so we love to give back,” said Merv.

Over the years, The Ferrari Club has raised tens of thousands of dollars for many charities including Little Heroes, Can Do For kids, The Epilepsy Foundation just to name a few.

This year, The Ferrari Club SA Chapter has extended a VIP invitation to attend the day to a young boy named Sam. The Ferrari Club found out about Sam through the Triple M breakfast radio show with Roo, Ditz and Loz and wanted to help in some way. Sam has an inoperable brain tumour, and has always wanted to fly in a plane.

On the day he’ll be able to fulfill that wish and fly to the event with his family in a helicopter and enjoy laps around The Bend in Ferraris.

Merv is also encouraging those with Ferarris to come along, and consider membership with the club. As a special treat for Ferrari Club members, an exclusive premium champagne masterclass is available in the afternoon. Members and their partners can then relax at the end of the day with dinner, Premium wines, and champagne along with live entertainment to dance the night away.

After an adrenalin filled day, attendees can enjoy a fun night at the Rydges Pit Lane Hotel which is located directly above the Pit Garages at The Bend Motorsport Park.
