Fiery return for food truck festival at Glenelg

Glenelg’s Fire and Food Truck Carnivale has come once again, promising fiery food and a spectacular show.

A fiery event for the whole family is coming to Glenelg in mid-August, in a Fire Spectacular hosted by Food Truck Carnivale. The roving band of food trucks will be set up at Wigley Reserve for 3 days of food and flaming fun.

The festival will involve some of SA’s most well-known food trucks and a vibrant atmosphere including live music, fire-themed performances, carnival rides and a fully licensed bar. Vegan and gluten-free food items will also be available from the food trucks.

The stars of this show are the groups of talented performers collaborating with the event. Groups such as Spark Circus are running several different shows over the 3-day stretch, including Flames of the Phoenix and a stripped-down version of their flagship production, Vesperia. Alongside these shows are a troupe of fire dancers from across Adelaide, performing throughout the evening. All fire events run from 6pm to 9pm each night.

Joining the already impressive roster is Brandon Aroy and Freyja Firefly, an internationally renowned pair of fire acrobats from Perth. They combine nail-biting acrobatics with fantastic costumes and expert fire skills. They will be wandering through the Reserve during the event.

Another fire-themed pair will be patrolling the grounds, on the lookout for unsuspecting guests to amaze and astonish with their flame-fuelled antics. Fire magicians Miss Fortune and Mr Firewood are considered to have set the standard for fire eating in Australia, helped with their impressive degree skill and ingenuity in their acts.

This event will be running from 12th to the 14thof August.

Opening from 4pm – 10pm on Friday, 12pm to 10pm on Saturday and 12pm – 9pm on Sunday.

The Fire and Food Truck event is being held at Wigley Reserve, Glenelg. Visit the Facebook Event page here for ticket and event information.
