Final call to win 50 percent back on Christmas dining across South Australia

A further 60,000 winners will be announced this Sunday, unlocking 50% cashback (up to $50) on seafood and coastal dining right across the state.

South Australians have just days left to secure big festive savings, with registrations closing midnight Sunday, 30 November for the next Summer Plan Dining Cashback draw. A further 60,000 winners will be announced the very next day, unlocking 50% cashback (up to $50) on seafood and coastal dining right across the state.

The initiative is designed to supercharge South Australia’s hospitality and tourism sector over the busy holiday period. It follows the success of the first ballot, which also selected 60,000 participants. Those early winners are now being urged to use their dining codes before they expire on 7 December.

Right now, 404 businesses — including 41 seafood retailers — are participating in the Dining Cashback program, with more than half located outside metropolitan Adelaide. It’s a major boost for regional operators in the lead-up to summer.

After the December draw, monthly ballots will continue through to March, ultimately giving 300,000 South Australians the chance to take advantage of the savings while supporting coastal eateries, seafood merchants and regional hospitality venues.

Winners receive a unique code, instructions for claiming the cashback, and access to the full directory of participating businesses. To redeem, they simply dine at an eligible venue, keep their tax invoice, and submit the claim online. Approved claims result in a direct deposit of 50% of the spend (up to $50) into the winner’s nominated bank account — typically within five business days. Those who miss out on the first draw will automatically roll over into subsequent ballots unless they choose to opt out.

Minister for Tourism Zoe Bettison says the program offers benefits for both families and local businesses.

“As South Australians prepare for summer and Christmas celebrations, the Dining Cashback program offers savings while strengthening coastal hospitality and seafood businesses,” she said.

She also encouraged first-round winners to take advantage of their limited window. “If you were lucky to win a Dining Cashback in the first draw, now is the time to get out and support our coastal communities and seafood businesses before it expires on 7 December.”

Bettison highlighted the appeal of South Australia’s coastal dining scene, adding: “Our coastal regions have so much to offer, from stunning dining experiences to fresh local seafood, and we’re helping make sure they are supported this summer while offering savings to South Australian families.”

The Dining Cashback initiative is delivered under the State and Federal Governments’ Summer Plan. Interested South Australians can visit the official program website for full terms and conditions and to register before the deadline.

With the festive season fast approaching, this is a chance to save money while backing local operators — a win for families and a boost for coastal businesses right across the state.
