Find fire pits and espresso martinis at Templewood House’s live music picnic weekend

Gather on the 14th and 15th of May for a Live Music Picnic Weekend at Templewood House. Bus transfers and accommodation packages are also available.

As the leaves turn auburn and vineyards begin to flaunt their vibrant colours, the Adelaide Hills becomes a stunning destination for the autumnal months. Templewood House, a 121-year old country house located on a 200 acre property, is bidding Autumn adieu with its Live Music Picnic Weekend.

Gather your friends and family on Saturday 14 or Sunday 15 May for an afternoon on the green. Take a must-needed rendezvous in the picturesque region underneath Templewood’s on-site marquee, surrounded by fire pits, espresso martinis, and homemade brownies.

Templewood House will come alive to support the local music industry impacted so much by COVID. To kick things off on Saturday, Emma Gordon-Smith & EMPIRE will be a delight to your ears with their soulful, funk sounds.

After landing lead roles in a variety of musicals in Melbourne, as well as performing in Fringe cabarets and music shows, Emma is sure to bring an incredible energy and vibe to the stage.

On Sunday, the high-calibre performers continue with Leah Zweck’s String Source Quartet. Leah has performed with some of the best orchestras and ensembles in Australia, as well as supported the likes of Michael Bublé, Robbie Williams, Harry Connick Junior and more.

As well as fantastic musical performers, an array of food and drinks will be available for purchase. Cozy up with a beer, cider, wine, or espresso martini from the on-site bar, or perhaps a non-alcoholic spritzer or soft drink.

In an effort to support local artisan producers, particularly from the Adelaide Hills, the bar will be serving Kersbrook Hill Wines, Applewood Distillery Gin, Lenswood Cider, Paracombe Premium Perry, Paracombe Wines, and Unico Zelo Wines.

Might Mighty Coffee will be hand-making the espresso martinis from their locally roasted coffee and locally made Unico Zelo Caffe Liqueur. If you’re just looking for a caffeine hit, Black Sheep Roaming Café will also be selling locally roasted coffee, in addition to tea and hot chocolates.

For something more substantial, Wood Oven Express will be selling delicious handmade wood oven pizzas (both savoury and sweet). Gluten free pizza options are available as well.

On top of the music, food, and wine, Templewood House will also be holding a raffle each day, with all proceeds to go to the CFS. Intrigued? So are we!

Tickets are $20 per person per day, or $30 including return bus transfer (plus booking fee). Gates open at 1pm for 1.30pm music start. Music concludes at 4.30pm, with the return transfer bus departing at 5pm.

No tickets will be available at the door on the day, so be sure to organise with your friends in advance. Get in quick to avoid disappointment, as the tickets for this experience are limited.

Want to visit for the whole weekend? Templewood House is offering a limited number of Weekend Accommodation Packages. For $460, the venue is offering 1 ensuite bedroom for 2 nights for 2 guests; 2 Tickets for both days; 2 bar drink vouchers; and continental breakfast provisions.
