Today, Saturday, 19 June, Brighton is throwing their first-ever Winter Solstice.
Jetty Road will come alive from 3pm with fire pits to keep you warm as well as live music and great food and wine provided by the street’s local traders.
Jetty Road will be partially closed to traffic, so the good times can extend out on to the street. Expect vendors spilling out onto the road.
With In Thais extending their noodle café and noodle bar out to the street, to paella and wine tastings from The Seller Door, and face painting from the team at Jetty Babes, there’s something for everyone as they enjoy the cosy winter vibes at Brighton.
There will be two stages with live music throughout the afternoon and evening, and the retail stores will be open until late.
The Brighton Winter Solstice is one of many winter festivals cropping up this season, with the Alpine Winter Festival coming soon to neighbouring town Glenelg, and another winter village set up in the CBD. However, with local vendors spilling out onto the street and one-day-only offerings, the Brighton Winter Solstice is a distinct, must-see offering.
For great eats, live music, and a wintery street party, head to today’s Brighton Winter Solstice.
The event will take place on Jetty Road.
