If you’re a coeliac or have sensitivities to gluten, or if you’re just someone who loves delicious baked goods, the new Edwardstown bakery Trezona may have just answered all your patisserie prayers!
Newly opened, and owned and operated by Michael Robin, Trezona Gluten-Free Bakery has already proven to be a hit among locals and those with specific dietary requirements.

‘We opened on Friday the 9th of December, and already we’ve had such a great response from the local community, and in particular, those that are coeliac and gluten intolerant’, says Michael.
This 100% gluten-free bakery and patisserie proudly manufactures all of its products by hand in single batches with recipes from scratch. Not only are their goods made with quality South Aussie ingredients such as free-range eggs from McLaren Vale, gluten-free flour from Strathalbyn, Beerenberg products, SA-grown nuts and real Australian butter, but they’re also made with love.

With absolutely everything gluten-free, the bakery has recently expanded from just a wholesale operation to a new retail space at the request of customers across SA.
‘We’ve been supplying our cakes and pastries for a number of years now to cafes and restaurants throughout South Australia, but we’ve had a lot of enquiries from customers directly asking how or where they could buy products’, says Michael.
‘Having many suppliers and distributors, and with the customer demand, it made sense for us to open a retail space to provide customers with an easy location where they could not only pick up some freshly baked goods or pastries but also stop and have a coffee, have some lunch and sit down and connect with each other.’

Located in Edwardstown, Trezona Gluten-Free Bakery is an extension of their manufacturing facility, with a trailer and outdoor seating with tables and umbrellas providing the perfect space to kick back this summer with a coffee and one of their delicious sweet or savoury treats.
‘Whilst we’ve been available in a wholesale capacity for some time with our cakes, slices, baked goods and sweet treats, we’ve decided to expand our offering since opening our retail shopfront, and have included a savoury range such as pies, pasties, sausage rolls and chicken savoury rolls’, says Michael.
With everything from deliciously iced cupcakes, to fluffy friands and sweet slices, the products on offer are not only a feast for the eyes but for your tastebuds too.

‘The coffee is all gluten-free also, and we have all alternate milk (except for oat, of course), and a delicious selection of teas’, says Michael.
And, if you want to grab a stash of goodies for your next celebration, catch up with friends, or even for this holiday season, retail customers can purchase boxed sets for a discounted price directly from the bakery.
‘Customers can come in to place orders from us directly, and because we’re located where we make all of our goods, we’ll always have stock on hand to ensure customers can get what they want right then and there’, says Michael.
Trezona also welcomes and supports the SA Police, SA Ambos and SA Fire workers, with ‘everything always discounted for our road warriors.’
This warm and inviting community-focused bakery invites all South Aussies to stop by, whether you’re a gluten-free eater or not.
