FIRST LOOK: Adelaide cult label The Wolf Gang opens first permanent store

The Wolf Gang has opened a bricks and mortar store, so fashion enthusiasts can now browse the racks of vibrant clothing in a permanent location.

Adelaide fashion label The Wolf Gang has opened its very first bricks and mortar store, inviting fashion enthusiasts to experience the brand’s unique charm in a permanent space on the bustling Rundle Street.

The Wolf Gang creative director Vanessa Pearce has a seasoned retail career and is no stranger to Rundle Street, having previously opened the Sass and Bide store in 2009.

Now, she returns to familiar territory, bringing The Wolf Gang’s distinct aesthetic to the forefront of the city’s fashion landscape. The store was acquired with the help of Renew Adelaide, a non-profit that activates vacant spaces with unique ventures via a rent-free program.

The store emanates a vibrant ambiance, featuring well-lit interiors and walls adorned with The Wolf Gang’s signature garments, each showcasing the distinctive pops of color for which the brand is renowned.

If you love bright, bold colours or are seeking to make a statement at your upcoming event, The Wolf Gang is a must-add to your shopping itinerary.

Vanessa developed the brand’s identity from her personal vision and with input from her partner, Sam, who is Frame Creative‘s Co-Director.

The Wolf Gang is known for its distinctive style, with the colour and culture of faraway places and bygone eras their inspiration for the brand. This unique Adelaide-born brand has become synonymous with its bold prints, vibrant colors, and a nod to the aesthetic of the 60s, 70s, and 90s.

Each piece is designed in Australia by a thoughtful team, who draw inspiration from the vibrancy of cities around the globe. Its ethos ensures each piece is designed with intention and purpose, as part of a curated collection designed to be worn with ease, and loved for a lifetime.

The brand’s identity is grounded in the use of diverse textiles and mediums, such as natural fibers, leather, raffia, shells, hand-blown and woven glass beads, and handwoven crochet and knitted yarns. This fusion creates timeless pieces that infuse a touch of the otherworldly into the everyday.

At the heart of The Wolf Gang’s allure are their bold prints, pop colors, and statement pieces suitable for beach outings, bar events, and beyond. The brand’s striking color palette and custom prints have made it easily recognisable, leading to a global presence and network of esteemed stockists including The Iconic and Anthropologie.

The Wolf Gang’s journey began in 2016 with the introduction of the Bedouin Clutch, which quickly gained a devoted following. Since then, the brand has expanded its offerings to include accessories, clothing, swimwear, and jewelry.

Its reputation for quality, color, and uniqueness has led to a global embrace, including one of its pieces gracing the shoulders of Kardashian-family supermodel Kendall Jenner last year in a campaign shared to her massive Instagram following of over 200 million.

The brand has also been seen on the likes of Hilary Duff, style icon Julie Sariñana, Australian media personality Carrie Bickmore and fitness entrepreneur Stephanie Miller.

In celebration of the grand opening, The Wolf Gang will be hosting an in-store launch night this Friday, December 15th, where cocktails will be shaken up from 4pm to 9pm, accompanied by DJs and exclusive discounts on the day.

People are invited to pop in for a drink, a styling session, and a glimpse into The Wolf Gang’s new Rundle Street store.
