Adelaide is making a bit of a name for itself with the new winter warmer venues hitting the state and they’re coming in faster than we can say hotpot.
Speaking of, Adelaide’s newest hotpot space has quietly popped up in the heart of the city, serving modern Chinese-style fast food in a street-market-inspired venue.
Hot 2 Go brings vibrant red and black décor to the City Cross food court, making it instantly stand out in the bustling CBD dining spot. Sleek floor-to-ceiling tiles wrap around digital menu boards showcasing rich, spicy broths, sizzling dishes and quick, comforting meals made to order.
The whole set up feels authentic and fun, playing on energetic chinese culture and the convenience of good fast food when it’s needed most.

The menu focuses on Malatang, Mala Xiang Guo (dry pot) and street food snacks, with quick service ordering for when you’re on the go.
The signature Malatang offering is a popular hotpot-style experience that has been growing across SA, where diners select their own ingredients and pay by weight. Lining the shelves are seaweed, straw mushrooms, black bean chicken and beef, squid, tofu, prawns and plenty more.
Diners can choose from a range of spice levels, from mild to super hot for the more daring eaters. The menu boards feature combinations of lotus root, tofu, mushrooms, greens and chilli-rich broths, making it a fitting addition to Adelaide’s growing line-up of cold-weather comfort food.
Another standout feature is the Tianjin crepe, also known as jianbing, a popular Chinese street-food snack that is rarely seen across Adelaide menus. The crepe is filled with crispy cracker layers, egg, spring onion, sauces and other fillings to create a crunchy, savoury snack.
Grab your tongs, choose your bowl and ingredients, then head to the counter to pick your broth and have your meal cooked fresh then and there. The steaming bowl of flavourful goodness takes just a short time to prepare, making it a quick CBD lunch stop or easy dinner option for anyone craving something warm, spicy and satisfying.
Hotpot has been steadily growing across Adelaide, and Hot 2 Go taps right into that appetite for customisable, fast and flavour-packed dining.
