The wait is over for the iconic Adelaide Christmas pop-up, which officially opens its doors to the public Wednesday the 10th of October.
The Christmas wonderland is a mecca for decorations that can be passed through generations as family heirlooms. The Christmas Heirloom Company was founded in 1986 and is the largest wholesaler and retailer of festive season products in New Zealand, now with its first base in Australia right here in Adelaide.
Owners Angela and Marcelo Buccella are currently in their seventh year of running their famous three-month-long Christmas pop-up, and this year have taken it to the next level.
“Even though this is our second year on Rundle Street, we gave ourselves the challenge to create a completely different space, and we think we’ve definitely achieved that,” Angela tells Glam Adelaide.
“There’s almost two stores within the shop. The front is so elegant and traditional, and then you walk through a garland of baubles into a Christmas wonderland perfect for kids. We love seeing everyone’s expressions when they walk through the doors, it’s truely rewarding.”
The store stocks everything you could put on your Santa’s wish list, including trees, lights, decorations, collectables and more.
“We really are a one stop Christmas shop with exclusive items you won’t find anywhere else,” Angela says.
One of their big sellers are Christmas trees, with over 21 on display, all showing off a different theme.
“They are all good-quality trees which are made to last over 20 years. We decorate them so beautiful in different themes to give people ideas on what they can do at home,” Angela says.
One unique difference at their store is also the ability to hire trees for your home or business for the 6-8 week Christmas period, saving hassle and giving people the chance to have them decorated differently each festive season.
“The best thing is, we do all the work for people so they can just enjoy them,” Angela says.
With Christmas goodies in high demand, you will need to be proactive in ordering said goodies by getting in as early as possible so you don’t miss out.

From 14 November, they will be open 7 days a week. Final day of trading is Christmas Eve 24 December.
