Now, in a move that seamlessly blends culinary excellence with relaxed luxury, Bird in Hand has launched ‘O’ Quarters, their new accommodation offering at its picturesque Woodside estate in the Adelaide Hills. Now available exclusively for guests dining at the on-site LVN Restaurant, ‘O’ Quarters invites you to extend your gastronomic journey into an overnight escape.
Named after Oscar Nugent, son of Bird in Hand’s co-founders, and the inspiration behind their signature ‘O’ Sparkling, this three-bedroom residence embodies refined comfort. Conveniently located adjacent to the acclaimed LVN Restaurant, ‘O’ Quarters allows guests to transition effortlessly from a leisurely lunch to a serene retreat.
Designed as a private extension of the Nugent family home, ‘O’ Quarters exudes a contemporary style infused with warmth and personality. Art-filled walls, inviting nooks, and well-appointed suites create a haven of relaxation. The master Sparkling Suite even boasts a freestanding bathtub, inviting moments of pure indulgence.
Guests are encouraged to make themselves at home in the shared living and dining areas, whether gathering around the open fire in cooler months, selecting a book from the eclectic library, or enjoying a game of chess. The shared kitchen and laundry facilities provide added convenience, while thoughtful touches like a television and sound system enhance the experience.
“We’re excited to offer LVN Restaurant guests the opportunity to discover ‘O’ Quarters and truly immerse themselves in the charm of our Woodside estate,” says Susie Nugent, who personally designed the surrounding gardens. The grounds, adorned with both Australian and international artworks, reflect the collaborative spirit that defines Bird in Hand.
Beyond the luxurious accommodation, guests are encouraged to explore the estate’s expansive gardens and dynamic sculpture collection, embracing the tranquility of the Adelaide Hills. After indulging in LVN’s culinary delights, a pre-ordered chef-prepared light dinner can be delivered to your quarters, ensuring a seamless evening of relaxation.
A continental breakfast, featuring fresh-baked local sourdough and pastries, is also provided, and the shared kitchen offers the option to prepare additional items. Whether dining indoors or al fresco amidst the picturesque scenery, ‘O’ Quarters ensures a delightful start to the day.

- One king-sized master suite, with ensuite bathroom and freestanding bathtub.
- Two spacious queen-sized garden suites, each with ensuite bathrooms.
- Each suite’s amenities include organic ecoLinen bed linen, bath robes, slippers, hairdryer and a range of body and haircare products.
- The shared, central living and dining areas feature a dining table and sofas, an open fire for the cooler months, an eclectic library and board games such as chess. A television and sound system are also provided.
- Kitchen amenities include refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and coffee machine.
- Laundry facilities include washer, dryer, steamer iron and ironing board.
Reservation terms and conditions
- Bookings are open now, for stays beginning late August.
- Reservations for ‘O’ Quarters are available exclusively on Friday and Saturday nights.
- A lunch booking at LVN Restaurant is required on the same date of check-in to be eligible to reserve a suite at ‘O’ Quarters.
- ‘O’ Quarters is a shared residence and all suites might be occupied on the same night.
- Each suite can sleep a maximum of two guests.
Rates at ‘O’ Quarters and LVN Restaurant pricing
- Sparkling Suite: $895 per night.
- Garden Suites 1 & 2: $450 per night.
- LVN Restaurant: $195 per person for set menu of 8-10 courses (plus $95 per person for optional wine pairing).
