FIRST LOOK: Melbourne fitness powerhouse opens first SA studio

CorePlus is set to launch its first South Australian studio in Glenelg, offering a week of free classes in Hot Mat Pilates, Yoga, and Reformer.

Adelaide fitness enthusiasts, get ready! A new workout destination has landed in Glenelg as CorePlus prepares to open its first studio in South Australia today, Thursday, March 27th. With classes in Hot Mat Pilates, Yoga, and Reformer, the new studio will provide a holistic approach to movement, combining sweat, strength, and cardio in a dynamic and inviting environment.

Glenelg’s new CorePlus location offers a variety of classes suited to different preferences and fitness levels. The studio features three types of infrared heated mat Pilates classes—Hot Mat Pilates, Hot Strength, and Hot Strength Cardio. Additionally, yoga enthusiasts can choose from Hot Yoga Flow, Warm Slow Flow, and Warm Yin Yoga. The studio also offers four reformer Pilates class types—Athletic, Strength, Cardio Strength, and Pre & Post Natal.

To celebrate the opening of the new Glenelg studio, CorePlus is offering free classes from Thursday, March 27th, to Wednesday, April 2nd 2025. This provides a perfect opportunity for both seasoned fitness enthusiasts and those new to movement to try out the various classes offered and experience the CorePlus environment firsthand. Bookings for the free classes can be made using the CorePlus App.

CorePlus, founded in Melbourne by Amy and Mike King, has become a well-known name in the Australian fitness industry, now with 30 studios across Victoria, Queensland and South Australia. The community has seen huge growth, with over 1.5 million class visits in 2024, nearly one million of which were for mat Pilates. The brand’s success is largely due to its innovative approach to heated workouts and its focus on building community and connection.

Now, Adelaide can get on board and try out the much-loved CorePlus workouts for themselves.

“It’s incredible to see CorePlus expand into a third Australian state,” says co-founder Amy
King.

“Our growth is thanks to our amazing Studio Partners, who create judgement-free spaces where people feel comfortable, empowered, and confident.”

Studio Partners Matt and Rochelle, who will manage the new Adelaide location, are eager to welcome South Australians to experience the unique CorePlus environment.

“There’s such a distinct style when you enter a CorePlus studio, from the team that greets you at the front desk, to the invitation to leave your phone in your locker and be completely present, to the signature class styles… I think Adelaide is going to love it!” shared Rochelle, CorePlus Glenelg Studio Partner.

“As a Melbourne native with a hot yoga background, I was shocked to find there was no CorePlus in Adelaide when I moved here a few years ago. The solution? Open one myself!”

CorePlus is set to become a key player in Adelaide’s fitness scene, offering locals an opportunity to engage in health and wellness activities in a welcoming setting. With free classes during its opening week, it’s a fantastic opportunity to experience a brand that prioritises both physical health and personal connection.
