The wait is finally over, Jenny’s Bakery officially opens its brand-new Keswick outpost today, bringing its signature flaky pastries, inventive desserts, and cult-level following to the city’s inner south.
If you’ve ever queued for a crookie (that croissant-cookie hybrid), indulged in their Dubai chocolate soft-serve, or lived locally to one of its stores, you’ll know Jenny’s is an Adelaide phenomenon. With two bustling locations already in Eastwood and Norwood, the team has now taken over a former deli (Sylvia’s Deli Snack Bar) at 48 Everard Avenue, transforming it into a modern pastry haven with all the charm of its suburban roots.
Much like its sister spots, the Keswick location is a mix of grab-and-go and dine-in – but on a bigger scale. Generously seating between 50 and 100 guests, you thankfully won’t need elbows to claim a table.

The fit-out also mixes things up. Led by interior designer Georgie Shepherd, inside leans into the heritage building, bringing a more achaic, old-worldy charm to the brand. And while the team is keeping the full reveal under wraps across their social channels, progress shots hint at long timber benches, pendant lighting, deep browns, rich reds, and a space that sits comfortably between homely and contemporary.
It’s no surprise the new venue looks as spectacular as the teasers suggest. The team spent nearly two years searching for the perfect spot. And Keswick fits the brief perfectly. It has easy parking, plenty of foot traffic from nearby offices, and is just far enough from the city rush to feel like a hidden gem.

The menu is also sworn to secrecy, but we can speculate. It’s safe to say the line-up will deliver everything fans love – croissants, cookies, pies, tarts, dreamy seasonal specials, and droolworthy specialty cakes. We’re betting on flavours like matcha, pistachio, tiramisu, and Biscoff making an appearance in pastry or liquid form, alongside St Ali Coffee and a full range of hot drinks, from velvety hot chocolates to chai lattes.
If you’ve been holding off until the end of the week for a sweet treat, here’s your excuse to cave early. Right now, Keswick is filled with the aroma of warm croissants, glossy tarts, and matcha lattes ready to vanish before noon. Jenny’s 3.0 has arrived, and it’s flaky, charming, and fully caffeinated. Just irresistible.
