FIRST LOOK: Docee open sleek Firle store with viral desserts and exclusive new item savoury scrolls

Docee has officially opened a sister store in Firle and we can’t wait to get our hands on an açaí bowl or two.

Docee has officially expanded to the eastern suburbs of Adelaide, bringing their “trending worldwide” treats to Firle. The açaí and dessert hotspot pronounced, doo-cee, held a soft launch March 19, welcoming hundreds of customers through the doors since.

The new venue is located in Firle Plaza, a shopping centre about seven kilometers east of Adelaide’s CBD.

“The support from the Firle/docee community has been amazing and genuinely exceeded our expectations,” said Kareema Elbhalakani, Docee operations manager.

“Getting to know new regulars and also regulars from our Findon location who were just passing by the area coming in to see some familiar faces, truly has showed their loyalty and also made us happy.”

Firle brings the same great taste we know and love from their sister store in Findon, with custom acai and fruit bowls, that can be nutrition-based or, maybe you’ll want a completely dessert-based bowl.

The transformation was done by Neu Built, with a sleek design meeting refined functionality. The kitchen is wrapped in stainless steel and the space feels modern but not complicated, with a sharp, polished finish.

“Using quality materials like concrete and stainless steel along with accents of wood and leather, we wanted a space that was super modern and unique in design but also feels vibrant, welcoming, and a little bit different, and that’s exactly what it’s become,” she said.

“The energy in-store, especially during busy periods, really reflects the Docee brand and community we have built.”

The community have been gobbling up the new venue, trying to figure out what item they love best and finding a regular go-to option.

Of course the hero of the menu are the açaí bowls, which lean firmly into sweet treat as much as nutrition. Signature combinations include pistachio-loaded bowls, Biscoff-topped creations and chocolate-heavy favourites, alongside a fully custom build-your-own option.

“However, our Tiramisu range and our specialty iced matcha have been quite popular along with our cinnamon scrolls and banana pudding,” she said.

“Customers have really embraced trying something new, which is exactly what Docee is about.”

Then there’s the viral edge, Dubai chocolate-inspired bowls layered with Nutella, pistachio and crunchy kataifi, designed to tap into global food trends. That viral energy flows through the rest of the menu.

Expect New York-style banana pudding, tiramisu iced lattes and pistachio cold cream drinks, alongside loaded soft serve cookies – we’re drooling just thinking about it.

In celebration of opening their new store, Docee are bringing an exclusive eat to their Firle store only, introducing a new savoury scroll item. From Thursday to Sunday, get your hands on their savoury scrolls. There are two flavours; a homemade margarita and triple cheese scrolls, along with a homemade pesto and cheese.

Word on the grape vine is that sometime during April, they’ll a;so be releasing a surprise new banana pudding flavour – we’ll have to wait and find out.

“Being a new store it gives us the chance to experiment with exclusive items and limited-time drops that keep things fresh and exciting for our community.”

With doors open daily and new menu drops keeping things fresh, Docee is fast cementing itself as a staple in Adelaide’s ever-evolving food scene.
