FIRST LOOK: Enjoy a taste of Italy at the newest eatery in the heart of Adelaide’s laneways

Enjoy a taste of Italy right here in Adelaide with the newest Italian eatery on the scene, Bolla Milano.

Enjoy a taste of Italy right here in Adelaide with the newest Italian eatery on the scene, Bolla Milano, promising to be ‘just like Nonna used to make’! The new spot on James Place offers a quaint dining experience, similar to the streets of Rome.

Brothers and co-owners, Simone and Andrea have made a rotating menu with delicious offerings inspired by the menu at their family’s Milan restaurant, Panificio San Giorgio. They’ll be serving dense bowls of soul food, flavourful focaccia and authentic pizza, continuing the family legacy.

Andrea promises an authentic “vibe that’ll transport you straight to the Mediterranean”.

The rotating range of wood-oven pizzas are displayed on the counter – in true italian-style – showing off their classic flavours like Margherita, Four cheese and mouth watering focaccias.

“Each dish tells a story of family, tradition, and will share Italian warmth and flavour,” Andrea said.

They are pairing local wines with their delicious dishes to make the ultimate dining experience.

The 60sqm shop nestled in the lanes of Rundle Mall offers an intimate dining experience with only two tables inside and three more in the lane outside.

“Experience a piece of our family’s heart right here in Adelaide!” Andrea said.

Growing up in the back of their parents restaurant – with a second location “Panificio San Giorgio Pancaffè” – Simone and Andrea are giving locals the chance to taste authentic Italian food, only a few steps away from Rundle Mall!

The restaurant is a love letter from the brothers to the historic streets of Rome, art-filled avenues of Florence and vibrant energy of Milan, as well as the authentic Italian lifestyle, people and cuisine.

Over the years, their goal has never changed: to search for the best raw materials to create good and genuine products.

In search of new opportunities and challenges, they came to Adelaide not only for the wine and excellent quality raw materials but also a climate reminiscent of the Mediterranean.

Andrea says they made to move to the southern state because “the food and wine are the best in Australia!”
