In order to set the scene for a perfect day, there can be a few accents that the success of the event hinges on. Whether it be the food offering, the open bar or even the right music. One of the most artistic and creative choices that you can include in a perfect day is nature’s tinsel, flowers.
Named after the owner’s beloved dogs, Floyd & Frankie is a florist that intends to add a sparkle of perfection to any day that is required. So much so that Floyd and Frankie have decided to open its very first store in Largs Bay.
Owner of Floyd & Frankie Mel Clothier, is finally embarking on a journey that has culminated in her opening a flower shop with a little more flavour.
“I started with Floyd & Frankie as a hobby as I’m self-taught, but then my hobby and the business just grew and I definitely outgrew working out of my house,” Clothier said.
Floyd & Frankie won’t be just a florist, Mel has revealed that the store has the scope to be a place where people can drop in, have a coffee and become regulars.
“We’re very excited because we will still be a florist but we will also have a dine-in space for those who want a coffee or grab one of our house-made candles, I want there to be something for everyone,” Clothier said.
The florist hopes to be as beautiful as Mel’s arrangements with the theme of subtle elegance and femininity running throughout the space.
The building itself is a treasure, with the shop standing in front of the iconic Largs Pier Hotel. The heritage building welcomes visitors old and new for something a little different on the main road.
The interior of the store sports a detailed tile countertop, a large window display to showcase fresh flowers, and a back wall with a range of gifts, homewares, baby clothes, dog accessories and candles.
The colour scheme remains in the neutral family with pops of blush and pink enhancing the space’s delicate sensibility.
To celebrate the opening of Floyd & Frankie’s first brick-and-mortar store, the store is inviting you all to its opening weekend on December 3.
